Kentucky Guild of Artists @ Audubon

If you're near Henderson, Kentucky... The John James Audubon State Park Museum is presenting the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen (a group exhibition), with a unique mixed-media showcase of talent highlighting 2-D and 3-D work created by more than 25 guild members.
The exhibit, open Jan. 20-March 11, features paintings, jewelry, photography, textiles and mixed-media pieces, most of which are for sale. Among the works are several of our small candle holders from Matthew & my private collection (sorry, they are not for sale).  The exhibit is free for the public to view Thursday thru Sunday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Founded in 1961, the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen (KGAC) is Kentucky’s oldest statewide visual art and craft organization. Matthew and I were juried in, in 2010 & are dues-paying Members. As a leader in the national art and craft movement, the KGAC has been one of the most active and highly visible organizations promoting national awareness from the 1960s through the 1970s, and has been an integral component in promoting Kentucky’s rich heritage of fostering exceptional visual art and fine craft. I was really happy to volunteer at the Welcome Booth at their 50th Anniversary outdoor show last Fall in Berea, Ky and meet so many other Kentucky artists I hadn't already come to know, and it was inspiring to see such a wonderful crowd of people.
